Farmers’ Market
There are farmers’ markets across NH and they are a fun way to spend a morning or afternoon while supporting local farmers and small businesses. Sellers often put out samples for you to try and you might just discover your new favorite cheese or flower. Farmers’ markets are also a great place to discover unusual fruits or vegetables. There might be something that you never thought to try or perhaps had never heard of.
Drive-in Movie
Although they are scarcer than they once were, there are still a few drive-in movie theatres left in NH. If there’s one near enough to you, it is a fun alternative to the standard dinner-and-a-movie date. Don’t leave near a drive-in? Bring a laptop outside to the patio or backyard or rig up a projector with a bedsheet. You can still sit out and enjoy a warm evening and watch that movie you’ve both been meaning to see.
Charity Walk
If you want to get a bit of exercise while doing some good, registering for a charity walk will check both of those boxes. And with most charity walks, there’s no pressure to finish within a set time. So you can take your time while you walk and talk and get to know each other. Or if both of you are partial to more energetic activity, you can jog all or part of the distance.
Bike Ride
Often less strenuous than a hike, going for a bike ride is a fun way to get outside together. If you’re looking for an easy ride, the NH Rail Trails network has trails all over the state and many of them are worn well enough to enjoy an easy ride. Find a location near where you live or take a day trip to another part of the state and take in some scenery you don’t see every day.
