Dating NH: Relaxing Ways to Explore the Outdoors This Summer

The window to enjoy warm weather is quite short in New England, so you want to take advantage of it while you can. And if you’re starting a new relationship this summer, you’re looking for activities to do outdoors so you can enjoy the weather and each other’s company. But what if you’re not particularly athletic or outdoorsy people? In the summer, NH dating usually includes a lot of hiking, paddling, and similar activities, but if you’re hoping for something more relaxed, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the summer.

Here are some of our favorite relaxing activities to enjoy summer in New Hampshire.

    Cruise Lake Winnipesaukee

New Hampshire’s largest lake has a lot of beautiful scenery to offer, and what better way to take it in than a cruise on the M/S Mount Washington? This boat is 230 feet long and takes regular daytime cruises around Lake Winnipesaukee. These scenic tours are narrated with information about the landmarks and local wildlife. For a little extra romance, take a sunset dinner-dance cruise!

Tour the Castle in the Clouds

If you prefer to take in the sights on land, take a trip to Moultonborough and visit Castle in the Clouds. Take in the Arts and Crafts architecture of the Lucknow mansion. This unique aesthetic movement put a focus on living in harmony with nature, as you’ll see in the way that industrial materials blend with natural elements. There are also hiking and walking trails that range from leisurely to challenging, so you can enjoy taking in the outdoors as well. You can even take in the view while you enjoy a bite to eat at the Carriage House restaurant or Cafe in the Clouds.

Take in the View on a Train

New Hampshire has two famous trains meant to take in the scenery. There’s the Conway Scenic Railroad that will take you through the Mount Washington Valley and Crawford Notch. They have three routes, each with their own unique experience. For a train trip with an adventurous and historic flair, take the Mount Washington Cog Railway. It’s the only cog railway operating east of the Rocky Mountains and has stayed under private ownership for 150 years. Many people prefer to take these train rides in the fall when the foliage is at its peak, but the views are just as breathtaking in the summertime.
